Making Content Comprehensible
Two-Day Option (English Language Arts, Social Studies, Science, and Career Tech Education)

with ESOL trainer Beth Skelton


Beth will use German to demonstrate strategies designed to make content instruction more comprehensible and accessible to Emerging Bilingual students. 

Experience at least five strategies for differentiating content instruction for English Language Learners. 

Leave with a better understanding of the stages of language acquisition, how to integrate content and language learning, and the power of cooperative learning for ELLs.

Complete teacher-friendly, classroom-based follow-up assignments designed to help you implement your learning with your students, and earn two graduate-level semester credits through the University of the Pacific.

Cost:  $924:  $80
0 course fee plus $124 fee payable to the University of the Pacific for graduate credits. Includes coffee, light snacks, and lunch.

(Non-credit workshop option is $700 for two days, payable through PPS Professional Development funds.)
